The XP-830 is a minimal upgrade to the Epson Expression Premium XP-820 Small-In-One. Distinctions consist of a brand-new ink formula and a slight decrease in the ranked speed for color duplex printing, from 5.1 to 5 web pages each min (ppm). We do not test duplex printing rates, other than in situations where duplex printing is the default, but both models were connected in simplex printing rates in our testing.

Epson XP-830 Review
As befitting its Small-In-One name, the XP-830 measures simply 7.5 by 15.4 by 13.3 inches (HWD) when shut and broadens to 8.1 by 23.2 by 17.5 inches with the print tray open up. Thus, it evaluates 21.5 extra pounds. The printer sports a 100-sheet main paper tray and a 20-sheet photo-paper tray that can stand up to 5-by-7-inch paper.
There is also a one-sheet feeder in the back for technical paper and an auto-duplexer. However, to earn the XP-830, this small Epson sacrifices paper capacity. Although the 100-sheet main tray suffices for a home printer, it is meager for an MFP meant to double for home-office use and its price.
On top are a 30-page duplexing automated document feeder (ADF)—which can check two-sided documents by scanning one side, flipping the web page over, and scanning the various other sides—and a letter-size flatbed.
Other Printer: Epson WorkForce DS-560
The front panel houses a 4.3-inch touch-screen LCD where you can perform configuration and upkeep jobs, check and copy documents, send out faxes, and print from a USB thumb own or sd card. The sd card reader (which supports SD, SDHC, and SDXC styles) and the port for a USB thumb own are to the left of the main tray.
The XP-830 has a comparable feature readied to the Editors’ Choice Brother MFC-J870DW, with sporadic paper capacity. However, the XP-830’s 30-sheet ADF has a somewhat greater degree than the Brother MFC-J870DW’s 20-sheet unit and can check two-sided documents, a capability that the Brother printer does not have. On the other hand, the MFC-J870DW offers near-field interaction (NFC) connection, which the XP-830 does not have.
